Violence never solved anything? WELL FUCK OFF!!

 photo CodsCkwXYAAf45G.jpg
Gandhi once said that "violence solves nothing". He said this because he was a skinny coward and terrified of being punched by a REAL MAN. Violence has in fact solved most problems anyone has ever had ever, for example:

33: The Romans crucify loudmouth unemployed carpenter Jesus of Nazareth, putting an end to all his preachy bullshit.

1865: Instead of going to the pictures like a normal person, Abraham Lincoln goes to the theatre and gets assassinated, teaching him a lesson for being all artsy-fartsy.

1914: Gavrilo Princip is pissed off at Archduke Franz Ferdinand, a bloke who TOTALLY sucked. He shoots Ferdinand and everyone is much happier.

1945: The US drops an atomic bomb on the stoopid city of Hiroshima, or as most people called it, 'Arseberg'.

1980: Mark Chapman guns down John Lennon, an unkempt Scouse drug addict, and saves us all from more crappy records about imagining we're walruses.

That's all.
Big love. Mark. X

Thoughts On Love & Smoking podcast #12. Serial Experiments.

 photo CmmbqQYXYAAfIbn.jpg
The Serial Experiments podcast has been something of a constant for us at TOLAS for quite some time now. Their weekly mix series is such a regular on my speakers that sometimes it's easy to forget just how much effort goes into these shows. Featuring some of our favourite DJ's and producers it's a genuine 'whos who' of artists right at the top of the game in this area of music. Favourites of ours the likes of Tolouse Low Trax, DJ Sundae, Sacha Mambo, Red Axes, Manfredas have all contributed, alongside our friends Bird Of Paradise and Cave Paintings. Even I was incredibly honoured to do a mix for them too!
But it's not just in selecting the range of guests which is so impressive, but to the quality of their weekly set which always precedes the guests mix. Anyone who has ever tried to do even a monthly podcast will attest to how difficult it is to fill an hour with fresh new music of anything near the quality that Serial Experiments regularly do! With that in mind, you can appreciate the amount of effort that it's taken to get up to their 100th episode recently, which was celebrated with a fabulous 2 hour set from Andrew Weatherall.
Serial Experiments takes us on an utterly sublime and stunning journey with his selection for the 12th in the TOLAS podcast series.

"From semi-shameful indulgences to everyday inspirations, these are my thoughts on love and smoking - I hope they will affect you in some way too." - Serial Experiments.

Now tuck into the mix. It's incredible stuff.
